Johan has been involved in education and training for over 20 years with various public and private institutions. In his most recent roles he has headed up the IT departments at Monash South Africa, from where he moved to the Academic Institute of Excellence as HOD for the School of IT, before being appointed as Academic Principal. While living in London he taught at the University of Roehampton, and then moved into private industry, where he worked for a multinational company in the field of Business Intelligence, completing various Project Management and Business Intelligence certifications. He holds an M.Sc. Computer Science degree and is currently reading for a PhD in Information Systems, with his major interests being technology adoption and integration of technology in teaching and learning. His paper at the 2018 International Conference on E-Learning was selected as the best PhD presentation at the conference. He has supervised several Honours and Master's research students, and published several conference papers at local and international conferences.

Nola lectured various programming languages at UJ and NMMU for 30 years and led the placement of under-graduate students in the workplace in either internships or entry-level jobs at UJ. She was instrumental in designing The IIE’s BCIS in Game Design and Development degree. Her research interests lie in the fields of educating for employability and using gaming/gamification as learning tools.

Wonga has worked as a Research Associate at SAP Africa (Product and Innovation Empowerment) in Pretoria, South Africa. He also worked as a lecturer at the University of Johannesburg and Tshwane University of Technology, respectively. In addition, he has worked as a System Engineer (Natural Adabas) at JCI/EDS. One of his research goals is to be a reflective researcher who has a broad insight into theories, ideas, methods, and practices in the ICT research field.

Siyanda started his academic, teaching and learning career as an educator in two independent schools in Pietermaritzburg and Durban. He then joined the IIE Varsity College as a full-time lecturer where the opportunity to join the Institute of Education (IIE) in a position, first, Assistant Head of Programme and second, Head of Programme. Siyanda is currently completing his Master of Science in Computing. He has co-authored a Knowledge Management paper. He contributed to an accepted abstract on Online Learning and is be working with co-authors on a paper for a conference full paper publication track.

Olusegun Ademolu Ajigini is presently with the Independent Institute of Education, Faculty of ICT, South Africa. His research interests include digitalization, digital transformation, computers in education, data science, big data analytics and data governance. He received his PhD in Information Systems from University of South Africa. He received his Master of Information Technology (MIT) degree from University of Pretoria. He also received BSc (Hons) Engineering Physics and MSc Metallurgical & Materials Engineering degrees from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria. He had worked in the IT Industry for more than ten years in IT executive management and professional IT roles. He had taught, supervised postgraduate students, and conducted research in many universities including UNISA, DUT and TUT.
