Willy has completed a PhD in Tourism Management at the North-West University and a second Masters in Educational Management and Leadership at the University of Johannesburg. Willy’s interest in research relates to various disciplines given his role within the institution and being exposed to various disciplines. Willy supervises Honours; Masters and Doctoral research projects and acts as reviewer for various journals and examiner of Masters and Doctoral studies for higher education institutions.

Gill Mooney is a member of the Editorial Advisory Board for the Independent Journal of Teaching and Learning. Gill has published in several journal articles in teaching and learning in higher education and Vygotskian theory. She has written numerous book chapters in a range of areas, including an instructors’ guide for teaching first year students and Developmental Psychology. She has presented a number of papers at both national and international conferences and has supervised many postgraduate students at the honours, masters and PhD levels.

Reza obtained his PhD in philosophy from the University of Johannesburg in 2013. He is the author of Wittgenstein and Meaning in Life (2015, New York: Palgrave MacMillan) and Emerson’s Literary Philosophy (2020, New York: Palgrave MacMillan). He is currently working on a project to situate the works of Henry Thoreau in the tradition of philosophy as a way of life and their overlapping similarities with the works of Pierre Hadot, Michell Foucault on “technologies of the self”, and Alexander Nehamas.
